grokking in fullness

December 20, 2003

This is a recurring dream I've been having lately. It was only in last nights dream that I actually remembered that I've had it before. Now that I think of it, the last couple of times I've had this dream I've woken up and tried remembering it so I could write it down.

In any case, the major reason I like this dream so much is the feeling I get while I'm actually dreaming. Its a very calm "Everything is all right in the world" feeling. This feeling came to me as a sense of relief, because I could remember that I had just gotten done with a hard week of work.

Anyway, the memories I have of the dream including my driving around on bright, moonlit nights to distant snow-covered towns. Although my end-destination sometimes varied, I was usually drawn to a large white house on the edge of a town that was bordered by a forest.

I remember driving up to the house, which was ghostly white in the moon and starlight, and seeing the dark windows staring out at me and the dim forest in the background.

A girl lived inside by herself, which I remember as someone which once attended school with me. You know on some nights how you can go cruising around and just feel omnipotent of your surroundings (in real life, I'm talking), well it had that sort of feeling about it as this girl and I sat around and visited in her big luxurious house. It was almost as if we were omnipotent of the night around us.

By the way, this wasn't a sex dream. In fact, I think part of the reason it was interesting was that I was always staying at this girl's house, and there was nothing going on between us. In any case, its probably not a good dream in terms of story-line, but I liked it because of the neat feeling it gave me.
