March 11, 2002 - Monday Does anyone else remember that old Easter show? It had the caveman in it, and he tripped over a potato, and then the ate the potato? I love Easter. Everyone was very helpful this weekend in assisting me eat all my birthday food. Almost half the cake and pies have been devoured. There's still more, though, so come eat your fill! Well, its official. I currently have a perdiddle car! It happened Saturday night, as far as I can tell. Sarah told me after she followed me out to Andy's. But don't worry, I have new headlight bulbs already! I decided to replace both of them with blue ones. Hopefully they'll be a little brighter than the dinky "stock" specification bulbs. I'm going to put them in tomorrow morning. Andy has written a short story, entitled "Escape From Stelle." It mostly involves he and I getting busted by the cops and going on a drug induced bar-hopping spree. At thirty-four pages in length, it actually makes for some entertaining reading. I think I'll post it here in the future. Speaking of Andy, he is working at Lifetime Doors now. I saw him there today, which was odd, because working with Andy is something which I never thought I'd do. Sorta reminded me of when we went to school together. For those interested, there will be a documentary on the History Channel at 9:00 PM on Saturday called "History of the Wife." I'm sure it will be very interesting... Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights seemed to be big party events at my house. I haven't seen that many people over for a long time. I even finally got to meet Bryan's sort-of girlfriend. On Sunday night, Erin, Gary, Zach, and I went to the Mexican restaurant in Kentland for supper. Zach now has me interested in a very fascinating thing: web-based radio. I think something like that would be great. Or even better, a Sheldon based AM radio transmitter. As Zach says, a legal AM radio transmitter must only be 10 mW, which will cover roughly a four block radius. That has me wondering, how much more power can you exert before the FCC takes notice? Personally, I'd only want to broadcast over the Sheldon area. But how likely would it be if you were caught? I bet the only way that would occur would be if someone reported it. And I'd bet the liklihood of that would be pretty high, because you're damn sure no one involved in such a project with me would kick back and play some country tunes for our listeners. Back to the web radio, though. I think it would be something interesting to get into. I think I remember mention of RealAudio streaming capabilities when I bought my new domain hosting plan. Maybe I'll look into that. You'll notice that there is now a contest. |
