grokking in fullness

It seems that a day can't go by where someone, usually Zach, asks me a question about Uranium City, Canada. Well, Zach, here you have all the answers you will ever need.

Uranium City is located on Lake Athabasca in the lovely Canadian province of Saskatchewan. They used to be a mining town in the 1950's, but the closure of the uranium mines in 1982 has led to the economic collapse of the town.

Construction for Uranium City actually began in 1952 by the provincial government, and the Eldorado Nuclear Ltd. mining company. At first, the town mainly consisted of tents. The town grew very rapidly after the winter of 1952, when the lake thawed and barges began to run again.

At 9:00 AM this morning, the temperature in Uranium City was 12 degrees F, the humidity was 91 percent with a dew point of 9 degrees.

Unfortunately, Zach, when the mines closed, the population of Uranium City fell drastically, with its current count officially at 212.

Now, if you take the atomic number of uranium, which is 92, and divide it by 4, you get 23. Take 23, and subtract by 4, and you get 19.

Which is Zach's precise chronological age!

Pretty spooky...
