Last night, Mom's house was burgled! How did it happen, you ask? 'Twas 10:45 at night. Marcus and I had just left for work (driving separately), and Bryan was walking into the kitchen to leave.
He heard some clickings, and stopped in the middle of the unlit room. He noticed that the back door was open a crack. He flipped on the lights, then ran to the back door and flung it open, just in time to see the screen door on the porch swing shut. He ran outside and saw a tall figure sprinting away towards Nathan's lot.
Bryan quickly lost his bearings due to the darkness, but could hear more footsteps pounding on gravel by his car. He ran back into the house, grabbed his gun and yelled to mom to call 911. He went out and searched the perimeter of the house until the police arrived.
Roughly four dollars in change was taken out of his car (the only night he forgets to lock it), as well as some cd's. The cd player was pried out of the dashboard but found laying on the ground behind the car. His glove box had been ransacked and papers were strewn everywhere.
Earlier this morning, after the three of us got out of work, we checked around the house, as well as Marcus's car. He found that wires had been torn out of his backseat, but the speakers left untouched. He called his dad at work, and found that two speakers were missing from his car.
Glad I live in the country.
As you know, the treacherous Nickler held his second annual wine and cheese party this past weekend. I had a lot of fun, mostly because I got to wear my pith helmet and speak in a pseudo-British accent. I took pictures with many of the guests, which I include below for your viewing pleasure.
Pith Helmeteer #1
My beautiful lady.
Pith Helmeteer #2
Troy, fellow aristocrat.
Pith Helmeteer #3
My attorney and fellow aristocrat, Andy.
Pith Helmeteer #4
Its not every day that you meet a hero...
Pith Helmeteer #5
A young aristocrat.
Pith Helmeteer #6
A well-dressed aristocrat, and our host, the vile yet lovable Nickler.
I am tentatively planning on hosting a feast on December 27. It will be a Kwanukah feast, in celebration of both Hanukah and Kwanza. Invitations with more formal information will be sent out shortly either by mail, e-mail, or via this website.
Stay tuned!...
