February 28, 2005 - Monday | 6:52 PM, CST For those of you that haven't heard yet, Kelly and I have begun ko-habitating. So far I have been happy about the change, although with some minor annoyances which I believe are a temporary issue. One the one hand, its nice to come home to a stack of warm pancakes and syrup, but on the other, I greatly valued my former ability to lounge around the house doing whatever I wanted without depending on planning for the next moment. You see, Kelly is a very moment-to-moment person, and if a plan hasn't been hashed out, she'll ask "What are we going to do tonight?" over and over and over. As I am generally the kind of person who doesn't make concrete plans or even stick with them when I do, this comes as a personality clash. I believe this will shortly become easier to deal with as we reach an equilibrium. On the positive side, having Kelly around has made a huge difference towards the lonliness I often feel while at home. This usually caused me to leave as soon as I woke up and neglect things around the house. Since moving in a few days ago, the house is slowly becomming uncluttered, with the dishes washed, and the laundry folded (rather than my previous clean-clothes and dirty-clothes piles). Hell, there is even food in my refridgerator. Formerly I had been using it to keep food with emerging sentience nice and chilly... but now a trip to the fridge will actually produce edible and delicious results. Re-stocking the house with groceries was expensive, but kind of fun. I did have to be careful not to pick out too many junk foods, because the last thing I need is for Kelly to be hopped up on sugar and zinging all over the fuckin' walls. She made pancakes over the weekend, and there were quite a few leftovers. She tried insisting I eat them all, since I was the one who had requested extras be made. She wasn't keen on the idea of putting them into the fridge for a later breakfast, until I explained that I expected at least three days' worth of leftovers should be stocked up so that in the event of her death, I could conceivably have enough food to last me to her funeral, after which it would be morally acceptable to begin dating again.
If you've heard of the new Pepperoni Trio from Pizza Hut, I would strongly advise you to give it a try. Its made with three different types of pepperoni, and kind of tastes like a pepperoni pizza with Italian sausage added (but with a more pepperoniest flavor!). Definately... try it out. Its quite possibly the best pizza I've ever tasted in my entire life. Speaking of good pizza, has anyone else ever had trouble getting a hold of Nathan? A few weeks back, I was at my Mom's house and picked up the phone to call Kelly. I looked out the front door when I heard the sound of Nathan's tractor, and began looking down the street to see if I could spot him. Kelly's mom answered the phone, and I blurted out "Is Nathan... ImeanKelly! there?" She seemed to thing this was the funniest thing she'd ever heard, as I explained my mistake. But over the weekend, I did it again. I tried calling Nathan's shop, but must have dialed Suzanne's house instead (the numbers are similiar). A man's voice answered, whom I figured was Uncle Nathan. "Hi... is Nathan there?" "No, Matthew, this is Jeremy. Nathan doesn't live here." "Oh, sorry about that..."
