Busy busy busy. And happy birthday to Kristy. I'm working twelve-hour shifts for at least the next seven days, so you will have to wait until my next day off to devour your birthday present. But have faith and be patient.
Saturday morning was my last day of work for the next month. I stayed up late and took Keith out to train with a pumper. We got a lot of stuff done, although we were rained out a little earlier than what we'd anticipated.
Later that night, I once again decided to try the new Gordo's. This time I was pleasantly surprised. They're doing some remodeling. On the east side of the restaurant they're in the process of adding a non-smoking section. Pretty neat. As I was waiting for my meal, I noticed that the man in the table next to us had a close-cropped haircut... But near the back of his skull, on the left hand side, there was a small patch of white hair growing on his otherwise brown-haired head. I took this to be a good omen, and I wasn't disappointed. Although perhaps needing a smidge more spiciness the next time around, I had an excellent meal and plan on going back.
Anyway, I'm tired so I'm not writing well. I need to go to bed to be rested for my twelve hour day in Kankakee tomorrow. I spent all day today mowing out in this shitty May weather. I had to make a special trip to Wal-Mart to stock up on Claritin. If all goes well, I may switch to Claritin rather than pay the eighty dollars (thats after insurance!) for a bottle of perscription allegra-D. We'll see how it works.
Lets have those guest entries!
