grokking in fullness

May 12, 2005 - Thursday | 10:36 PM, CST

I finally finished up my hospital clinicals. Next will be my ambulance clinicals. I'm a little behind schedule, but I'm not worried so much about that because I'm also under budget... meaning I have more money right now that I had anticipated. So thats good.

I'd have been done earlier this week, but a structure fire took care of those plans. I was actually sitting out in my car eating lunch in the hospital parking lot when the page went off. I was nearly a mile down the road before I realized that I had forgotten to tell anyone where I was going. And even worse, I had left all my paperwork in the emergency room! Whoops.

But everything went ok, although I had to waste an extra third of a tank of gas driving back up to retrieve everything. But I tell you... that drive home from Kankakee probably felt like the slowest I'd ever had.

I'm afraid I really don't have much to report, since for the past week I've been working twelve hour days in Kankakee. If you factor in an hour to get ready in the morning, an hour to get ready for bed, an hour each way for the trip to Kankakee, plus the twelve hour shift... that leaves me with absolutely no time whatsoever for anything of interest.

Art's bachelor party is still set for this weekend, and in case anyone hadn't heard yet, its going to start at 6:30 PM with a small cookout. Then we'll light up the bonfire and see what happens from there. I even bought a new grill for the occasion. One of the barrel grills that I've been wanting for nearly four years now. I finally found one that looked perfect, was small enough, and just in my price range. Blamshit and sticks.

I also baked a cake for Kristy's birthday. It was something like a double chocolate mix, with vanilla frosting. I was just guessing on whether she liked the flavor, so hopefully it turned out alright.

That little teeny bopper that used my picture without permission left some whiney entry on his site about the whole incident. He kept saying something how he got it on Google, which is public domain. That doesn't mean a whole lot though, since Google does a picture archive. In fact, Google even has this disclaimer on their site: "Image may be ... subject to copyright." I hate it when teeny boppers try to act like they know what they're talking about. Oh well, I was fourteen once and still having wet dreams so I guess I can't get too mad at the pimply faced little tyke.

Anyway, I'm kind of tired. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. Plus, Zach is back in town! Kuz-rut!
