grokking in fullness

Can you believe that its been four years to the day since I last updated? I've been meaning to do this for awhile (four years, to be exact), but the date is purely coincidental. This'll probably be a short, boring entry, just to get my feet wet again. After this long, its not exactly like riding a bike again. I'm relearning a lot of it, which is why you won't see my comment option working for now. I've pretty much forgotten almost all my PHP knowledge, and I need to figure out a way to password protect the commenting to keep all the spammers from filling my inbox with viagra ads. You'll also notice that my old journals are still password protected. That'll probably stay that way for awhile, if not forever. The e-mail option still works, however. Always good to hear from you.

I'm on vacation this week, which is probably the only reason I found the time to get the FTP program downloaded. We started off the week shopping, Kelly at Hobby Lobby and me at Cabela's. I got some new scope mounts for my AR, although I have yet to sight it in. We stayed at Turkey Run Inn for a night as well, and spent the next day hiking. I don't think they're doing canoe trips right now, because the creek is very high. Hopefully it'll be down in time for kayaking next month. We went to Indiana Beach today. I definately recommend the new roller coaster. After the ride, the attendant asked me "You had change in your pocket, didn't you?" "Yeah... had." "I heard it hitting the roof as you went past."

Well, whats happened in the last four years thats interesting? I guess first and foremost is that I got married. So did Bryan, although no one really cares about what he does. Mom moved to a new house. We've got a dog and two cats now. I've been getting a lot more political again like I used to be. Been to four tea parties so far, and it feels good to be doing something to fight the commie healthcare socialists. Easier than deporting them, anyways, but more than they deserve. I've been real lazy with my garden this year. I did get a strawberry patch planted, as well as some onions and garlic. Hopefully I'll get a chance here in the next few days go plant some more stuff. Better late than never, right?

I still don't have internet access at home. Ever since lightning fried my modem, I've been getting on the net at Mom's house. I just can't stand going back to dail-up, but I suppose now that I'm updating again I'll spring for the high speed. I should get going, more to come soon.
