grokking in fullness

Does anyone still use ICQ anymore? I downloaded a copy the other day, and thankfully all your contacts are stored on the company's server, so I didn't have to look everyone up. I sent some messages out, but no one responded and I haven't seen anyone online. I suppose everyone just uses Facebook these days to stay in touch. Bah.

Vacation week was busy busy busy. Just the way I like it. This time of June usually is, though, because Dad's birthday was on the 15th, Bryan's is on the 19th, and Father's Day was on the 20th.

This entry will be a little short on content, because I'm pressed for time. I did want to upload a few of the better photos from our trip to Turkey Run, however. Enjoy!

Image #1 Me posing in front of a rock face.

Image #2 Here's a picture of a giant fungus we saw. This picture doesn't do it justice, because its about the size of a basketball. I've never seen a fungus that looked like a giant cabbage.

Image #3 Another picture of the fungus. This one a close-up.

Image #4 Kelly walking through a stream bed. The angelic light surrounding her is just a trick of the eye. Trust me on that one guys.

Image #5 This is a black and white photo of Kelly overlooking the creek. The water is normally not that high.

Image #6 Here is Kelly in front of a small waterfall.

Image #7 Kelly and me after hiking. Some random kid took the picture for us.

Image #8 Me in front of a waterfall.

Image #9 Me overlooking the creek. Kelly and I stopped here for a short drink break. It was very hot and humid that day, but not as bad as you'd think in the woods.

Image #10 Me dominating a rock.

Image #11 After seeing my huge muscles, some park rangers asked me to straighten some crooked trees.

Thats about all for now. I gotta get some sleep. I took Mom to Watseka yesterday to have her car fixed. It kept overheating on her, despite topping off the coolant, changing the thermostat, and checking to see the radiator fans were working. I figured it was the water pump, and there was no way my fat hands were going to get inside that little Nissan for that kind of job. It should be finished today, and she got a pretty reasonable price on the repair.

I've decided that since there is so much to talk about from the four year hiatus, that I'll try to include a story or something in future updates. There's tons of pictures that I'd love to post, and stories to tell. But it'll take time to get that all done.

Oh, one last thing. Here's some pictures I took the other day. This is on N. 4th street, in Sheldon, and this is on N. 2nd street, in Kentland. I don't know who owns the properties, but I gotta admire them.
